Happy Mother’s Day to Uba…and More

We had a major weekend of celebrations at the Fawver household this weekend.  My Dad turned 55 on Saturday!  Happy Birthday to Grandpa.  We celebrated by going out for the greatest pizza on earth, Wells Brothers! After we enjoyed my Dad’s favorite, Dairy Queen ice cream cake.  Cooper couldn’t wait to dive in. Even Brecken got a tiny taste. In honor of his birthday we were all supposed to do a family walk/run.  It was too cold for the kids to participate so Uba and I hung back while the boys ran their hearts out.  Before the race they had the jitters, it was Casey’s first run.  Off they go!  They did awesome – Casey ran it in 25.14 and came in 3rd in his age group.  My Dad ran it in 24.57 and came in 2nd in his age group. Here they are crossing the finish line!  Way to go!  On Sunday morning we celebrated Mother’s Day for my mom by enjoying a nice breakfast together. My mom and I even got to squeeze a little shopping trip in sans kids – now that is a real treat. It was a lovely weekend  visit to celebrate two wonderful people. Uba and Grandpa.
