We left for Easter weekend but before we left we spent time letting the creative juices flow as we colored eggs. This year we used about 8 different colors, they were very bright and fun.
Cooper is a seasoned expert at the gentle dipping.
Brecken needs a little more practice, he broke most of the eggs he dyed.
Both boys still thought it was amazing that a white egg went in and a colored egg came out.
On a somewhat related story, Cooper had to color a basket that was full of eggs for his 4K. I took one look at the bulletin board and knew exactly which basket was my kids. Cooper’s basket was brown and his eggs were colored white with a white crayon. The teacher said no one had ever done such a literal interpretation of a basket before. I asked him why he picked a white crayon and he looked at me like I was crazy and said, “Mom, eggs are white.” When I reminded him that Easter eggs are colored he told me those are just plastic but real eggs are white. There you have it – he gets that from his Daddy.
