We just returned from another fabulous week up north. We did a lot of the traditional goodies like floating in the lake and relaxing. Ruby needed a break from the boys and did a little relaxing on a float herself.
Brecken was showing off his big hands and was palming this apple with one hand all by himself.
Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a relative of my Grandma Fawver, named Virgil, and apparently he was quite large. He actually wrestled bears in the circus. My Dad is betting Brecken might follow in his footsteps. Brecken was very lovey this weekend and was dishing out lots of snuggles.
Uba was the lucky recipient of this big hug. The water was some of the warmest and clearest it has ever been for us. We had gorgeous weather and the sky seemed huge this weekend. The lakes were all but abandoned and we felt alone up there. It was amazing.
It rained prior to our arrival and I think it warmed up the lake. There was a lot of rain and we had standing water all over the yard – Cooper was celebrating the big puddles.
We did quite a bit of fishing and lucky for us we were pretty successful.
We fished off the boat where Cooper had his first attempt at peeing off the edge of the boat.
We also fished off the pier. Kona was keeping Cooper company while he was fishing.
The pan fish, especially Perch, were really biting. Uba cooked up this great feast for us right after Grandpa cleaned the fish. It doesn’t get any fresher than that.
Now we face the tough transition back to the real world. Until next time.
Fun Times!
