Incident

OK, so as a teacher I have said this line one to many times to know that anything good comes from hearing it. I walked into Cooper's pre-school yesterday to pick him up and the teacher says, "Hi, glad to see you. Could I have a word with you?" Never a good thing.

This week the kids in class started getting special jobs. The jobs are posted on a big bear's belly near the story carpet. Cooper was very excited about his job of "clean up checker". Another little boy in class took Cooper's name off the bear's belly and threw it on the ground. SO...Cooper patted the crook of his elbow the way WWE wrestlers do, yelled piledriver, hit the boy with his elbow and knocked him to the ground. Celebrating the takedown he then stood and announced, "Me wrestled him right to the ground!" Now, the teacher said the little boy did take Coop's name off about 5 times and Cooper asked him not to but then he did it again and the piledriver came out. Casey and I had to have a little talk with Cooper about how hands are not for hitting and we can only wrestle with Daddy. He seemed to understand because this morning he walked up to his teacher and that same little boy and announced that his Mama told him he could only wrestle daddy and he won't be wrestling friends.

When Cooper was telling the story to us at dinner we were holding back tears trying not to laugh at how hilarious it was. We would love to be a fly on the wall in there. I would like to thank Mike Kopesky and Casey for showing Cooper how fun wrestling can be and for teaching him how to piledrive someone...a skill that every two-year boy needs to know. That's just super!

That is hilarious. I can picture him going through the motion of hitting his elbow, and I can hear him say, "piledriver." He probably had that cute little smile on his face while he made his celebratory statement too!
