International Kite Festival

This weekend Grandpa and Uba came down to visit and we went to the most awesome thing - an International Kite Festival. I got to watch kites of all shapes and sizes in the sky. They were bright and colorful and really fun to watch in the sky. Some kites were HUGE. Some kites were small, like these fish. Watch out some fishies bite! There was a man who had a trick kite and it would do big twists, turns, and dives. I would scream and chase it and right before I could grab he would make it fly up high again. Some of the kites were banners , this is a cute penguin banner. I loved these colorful banners that lined the walkway. There were some kites that had animals on them like this dragonfly one. This was had puppies on it. I really like the pinata kite - it went up really high and dumped candy down to all the kids. Score! I found a piece and Mommy and Daddy let me try my first bite of candy. When I was all pooped out, we took a break and went to the park. I got to take Ruby.We had a little picnic lunch (I shared with Ruby) and then it was time to watch a few more kites. The sky was so blue and beautiful and it was over 80 degree in Madison, perfect for this amazing display of kites. I enjoyed laying on my back in the field taking it all in!!
