Well, for those of you who participated in my poll question, I did not walk by Christmas. However, I am walking now!!!! Yep, today I took my first steps (four of them in fact). Daddy was holding me and I was looking at mommy. She had a tube of diaper cream that I wanted to chew on so I just stood up and took two giant steps. I got tired and stopped for a second and then took two more until I reached mommy and took my diaper cream back. Aunt Carrie, Daddy, and Mommy were very excited about my four steps because they all started screaming and clapping!
Not only did I walk today but yesterday I said my first words. I was playing with Grandpa and Uba rolling my ball around. Everyone was saying ball so I figured I would give it a shot. I said BALL nice and clear, everyone seemed to really like that so later I impressed them by saying it again. Ball was my Uncle Chad's first word too, I guess it runs in the family!
Oh, it does not stop there, I also got my first haircut. I had a little mini-mullet and my hair also was growing over my ears so something needed to be done. It went really quick and I was being distracted with Cheerios so I didn't really even notice the nice lady cutting my hair! I look very handsome if I do say so myself. I am little young for a haircut I suppose but my hair was out of control and with my birthday one month away, I just had to do it.
I have been a very busy boy lately. Mommy and Daddy are wondering what I will do next.

We knew that you were getting sooooo close to walking this past weekend! We bet that you look very handsome with your new haircut. We are anxious to see you walk this weekend. What a big boy you are Coopie, almost one year old! We can't wait to celebrate your birthday with you!
