Waunakee Fun Run

We recently participated in the Waunafest Run, it was dang hot out but we survived!  We started the morning by completing the two-miler as a family and then it was time for the Fun Run for kids.  Cooper was hysterical.  He always wants to competes in the runs but has absolutely no competitive spirit.  He doesn’t quite understand that the objective is to cross the finish line first.  He was just smiling around at everyone while he was running and then slowed down to tell me he saw a butterfly.  He finished dead last!  I think the greatest part was afterwards when he came over to me.  He explained to me that he won the race and ran his best and never stopped running.  I suppose that beats the pants off a blue ribbon any day!  Way to go Cooper!
