The boys head back

Cooper has officially started pre-school and he couldn’t be happier to be back with his friends.  He was so excited to find out Ben was in his class that he actually screamed out loud in the room when he found out.  He has an Iguana in his room this year and they have gotten more responsibility with the goats now that they are older.  The first week was filled with some exciting nature walks, outdoor water days and painting with materials they gathered in the woods.  Brecken also started with Jenny this week.  He really likes her and seems to enjoy the kids there.  When Cooper went to Jenny there was only one girl and now Brecken is the only boy.  Jenny is watching two other kids and they belong to some teacher friends of mine so that makes this year kind of fun.  Drop off went OK for me, I didn’t cry….until I got to the car.  I think I would have been OK but Cooper took one look at the empty car seat and started crying for Brecken.  He was crying saying, “I miss my brother.  How will they know what he needs?”  How sweet (and heartbreaking) is that.  I suppose they have never been apart in nearly 9 months so it was a big change for them….and me.  We made it through the first full-time week and the boys were great!
