Up North – Week One

We went up for our annual trip with the Fawvers, Zuithoffs and Kopeskys. As always it was fantastic.  We had amazing weather – upper 80’s and sunny. We enjoyed lots of time in the water – swimming, floating, and tubing.  We also spend a good amount of time in the boat, either basking in the sun, fishing or just going for a long cruise.  We sat around the campfire and listened to guitar playing and singing.  I think the boys might have a songwriting and small campfire band career in the works. The girls were fantastic; they were super helpers with Hudson, were very polite and were great about finding things to do to enjoy themselves. It was Hudson’s first trip to the cabin at only three months old and he was such a trooper. It was also Brecken’s first trip up and he really enjoyed the fresh air and water. I feel so happy to be able to share the cabin experience with him.  I am so thankful to Grandma and Grandpa Fawver every time we go up there.  Cooper and Carter got their fill of fresh air on the boat and on the beach. They played so well all weekend and were adorable together…especially when they were working out their problems. The sky in Three Lakes seems so large and clear. We get breathtaking sunsets and sunrises from our pier. Hanging out together enjoying the company and laughing all weekend long seem to have become the constants of this trip that I look forward to all year long. I’m already awaiting the next trip up.
