Brecken – 7 Months

Big boy Brecken is 7 months old now.  He is growing fast.  Brecken has two teeth now on the bottom.  He has about 4 bottles a day but doesn’t really want anything to do with them anymore now that he has been introduced to the wonderful world of food.  He loves any kind of food but some of his favorites are prunes, peaches, watermelon and squash. He eats fruit for breakfast with a little oatmeal or cereal and enjoys vegetables for dinner. He is starting to get that little orange tinge to his nose and skin from eating all the orange baby foods.  I love when babies get the little orange noses. Turning 7 months also brought out separation anxiety.  Cooper never really got that because he wasn’t a super cuddly baby but Brecken sure has it. The doctor said now it about the time it strikes and it can last until 12 months.  I hope it doesn’t hang around too long.  Right now if  a stranger or anyone who isn’t mommy approaches him then the waterworks start. Now that Brecken is sitting up so nicely he can play with some of our other toys.  We have this little smiley town thing with blocks that move up and down and Brecken will sit for half and hour and play.  I love that thing! He still enjoys cuddling and being read to but his favorite thing is Cooper.  He just adores him and gets so worked up by him.  Cooper can make him laugh hilariously and always puts a smile on his face.  They are really great together. Brecken isn’t crawling yet but is on all fours rocking back and forth so it won’t be long.  He has crawled a few paces backwards but couldn’t really understand what he did.  He will be crawling soon enough I am sure!
