Last Week with My Boys

I go back to work on Monday.  Pretty much, I wanna die, but a small part of me is ready to be human again.  To start wearing make-up and jewelry again, to get dressed before noon and to read something other than picture books. Casey will take over paternity leave from here so I know the boys are in great hands which makes it easier to return (as does the short amount of time before summer break).  We celebrated our last week together doing our very favorite things and we had amazing weather which made our activities all the better.  We went to the zoo and wandered around all day looking at animals (I will spare you MORE zoo pics).  We spent a day at the park and enjoyed a little picnic.  Brecken was watching Cooper very intently admiring how high he can swing. We explored by the lake.  Cooper snuck up on some ducks and tried to make his duck call but they quickly bailed into the safety of the lake.  We played outside in the yard with our dump trucks and sidewalk chalk.  We spent lots of time cuddling up reading books and talking to each other.  I think tomorrow we will top it all off with a walk down State Street and some ice cream at the Memorial Union or maybe Olbrich Gardens or maybe we will just stay home and play all day long.
