Stepping Out In Pink

To celebrate our 6 year anniversary Casey and I traveled with Cooper up to LaCrosse to participate in a breast cancer fundraiser, Stepping Out in Pink. We stayed with Ryan and Rachel and were joined by Uba and Grandpa. It was a really special weekend celebrating Uba's healthy life as a cancer survivor. This year marks her 19th year as a survivor...that is really amazing! Cooper honored Uba and my Grandmother with his stroller tag. We also decorated special rocks in memory or dedication to a family member or friend. Here is Uba's special one...We stopped along the route by a gazebo next to a lake to place our rocks with the others in remembrance/honor of those whose lives have been touched by cancer. We are so proud of Uba, not just because she is a cancer survivor but more so because she does not let cancer define her role in this world. She is so much more than just a cancer survivor and we love her so much. We all dressed up in pink and Jimmy John's sponsored us in the walk. Look at all the walkers lined up to sample their yummy sandwiches. After the walk we celebrated the weekend by hanging out together.We ended the weekend with a visit to the Freight House for the greatest crab legs ever! Can't think of a better way to celebrate an anniversary weekend.
