My family loves the State Fair....all the yummy food, the animals, the exposition hall and the interesting people to look at. I can't get enough. This year's trip was fun despite the crazy heat. We started out the same way we do every year, with a cream puff. 
Cream puffs make everyone happy! 
We took some time to visit the animals and even took in a little of the draft horse show. 
The draft horses are Uba's favorite. Cooper was a brave little boy and rode on a pony. He started out looking really scared and everytime the pony came around he said, "The horsey is going too fast Mama." Eventually he warmed up to the pony and enjoyed his stint as a cowboy. 
Then it was off to the big slide. I didn't think Cooper would want to do this but he was feeling very brave after conquering the wild pony. 
He went down with Casey and then afterwards I saw Casey looking around frantically. We couldn't find Cooper! He had dashed off Casey's lap and had snuck his way between people and was back up the giant stairs for more. He loved the slide!
The heat exhausted us and after spending the afternoon we were ready to head home. Can't wait for next year!
