Today we went on another Mommy/Cooper field trip to Olbrich Gardens. The gardens are absolutely beautiful - the types vary from shade gardens to herb gardens to rose gardens. We saw the sunken garden which was one of my favorites.
It has neat water features and fountains. Cooper loved moving in for a closer look at the flowers.
Hidden on one of the paths we found a duck breeding ground and that was a neat thing to stumble upon.
We moved inside to see the blooming butterfly gardens. The inside gardens are filled with exotic flowers that attract a variety of butterflies. There were hundreds of them and they filled the garden, they would fly right next to you and sometimes even land on you. Cooper was in awe. He loved searching them out and announcing when he found them.
They had little feeding and sugar water stations which allowed for an even closer look.
It was a great experience for Cooper. We relaxed by the Koi pond before we left, it was a really lovely day at the gardens!
