Kid Friendly Fireworks

We just returned from a week up at the cabin and I packed this cute little craft thinking the kids could make it for the fourth of July but we were so busy floating on the boat, watching parades and sitting around campfires that we just didn't have time. When we got back to Madison I decided better late than never... so Cooper and I made the fireworks. They turned out really cute! First, you start with a bunch of pipecleaners in a variety of patriotic colors. Then, you dip the tips in glue followed by glitter. Next, the glue needs to dry. When you are all finished you twist the pipecleaners together and curl up the edges. We hung them up in the dining room and now when we sit down to eat Cooper looks at them and announces, "Me made the pretty fireworks."
