Saturday was windy, snowy and frigid. I can't really think of a better day than that to plunge in to the freezing waters of Lake Monona, can you? This weekend I took the plunge with four other brave souls from my school.
Together we raised over a thousand dollars to benefit the Special Olympics!! Good thing the whole thing happened in just a few seconds or I might have backed out. The pain lasted mere moments and in the end it was well worth it...although as I was sitting on the bottom of Lake Monona for one fleeting second I did think I am going to sink like a rock and die down here. 
Amazingly, I did surface and make it out of the lake and into the life-saving hot tub. 
Cooper and Casey were on hand to cheer me on!
