Long, Cold Weekend

This seemed like such a long weekend (which was fabulous) because of the extra days off school. We took advantage of the long weekend and scooted down to see Uba and Grandpa. It was so cold outside that it even felt chilly inside so we stayed warm reading by the fire. Ruby always seems to have the right idea, hiding under the nearest blanket. Cooper got a new toy truck from Uba and Grandpa and was thrilled to see how much it could hold. He would fill it up and say, " BIG truck!" Uba showed him how to push it around. He gave it a test ride with his dog as his co-pilot. Grandpa put him to work bringing firewood in. We also enjoyed overindulging in some of our favorite foods this weekend. We started off with Uba's amazing sweet and sour chicken (my personal favorite homemade meal). Saturday we treated ourselves to a Fawver tradition and certainly a favorite restaurant of ours, Wells Brothers. Best thin crust pizza in the world! We finished it off with another one of Uba's specialities, swedish pancakes. Cooper loves to dip anything and everything so he was dipping his swedish pancake in a little container of apricot preserves. Yum! It was nice to have a chance to regroup and relax before the next week of work and I think we are all looking forward to warmer temps.
