Aunt Rachel and Uncle Ryan

Rachel and Ryan came down for a visit recently. It is always nice to see Rachel's growing tummy and Cooper likes to talk about the baby inside. Cooper also spent some quality time playing a little wii with Aunt Rachel. We went to Babies R Us to register with them and had a great time reminicing about all the baby things that we have "retired" in the course of Cooper's short life. Check out their registry here. During their visit we also got a chance to go to Union South. I worked at Union South for my entire collegiate career and eventually Casey joined me there working in the maintenance and the accounting departments. Union South is the far less prestigious union on campus but houses some of my favorite memories of student life. It is being torn down and all old employees and students were invited back for one last visit. I couldn't pass up the opportunity. We actually ran into a few of the "bosses" who worked there back when we did. They were all happy to see that Casey and I were married and guessed that might have happened after working with both of us!! We ran into Casey's old boss, Margee, which was very funny. She was a very odd woman who worked in the world's smallest office with Casey. She took us upstairs where we got to visit my old office I shared with my boss, Mark Hansen. After so many years of working there I was eventually given keys and Casey and I were fortunate enough to have access to the Union 24 hours a day. At a time when not everyone had a laptop and copies were .10 each we felt spoiled being able to use the computers and printer anytime we wanted. We signed the bowling pin (there was an alley in the basement) which will be encased and displayed in the "new" union south, so at least we got to leave a little bit of us behind.
